The Level 1 Construction Skills quali昀椀cation is an introductory course to bricklaying skills, designed for learners who may
have no formal quali昀椀cations or require further support in the classroom without having to sit formal exams. This course
consists of several theory elements as well as having the opportunity to work on practical hand-skills.
Bricklaying Level 1 and 2
Level 1 and Level 2 quali昀椀cations in bricklaying help learners begin a career in the construction industry. Level 1 focuses
on basic skills, including health and safety, brickwork tools, and simple wall construction. It's ideal for learners with little
or no experience. Level 2 builds on this foundation, covering more complex techniques like cavity walling, interpreting
drawings, and working to industry standards. These hands-on courses combine practical workshop sessions with
classroom-based theory, giving learners the con昀椀dence and competence needed for employment or apprenticeships.
They’re typically delivered full-time over one year per level, with assessments through practical tasks and written tests.
Both levels are excellent pathways into the trade and further quali昀椀cations.
