knowledge areas like infection control, anatomy, and
patient care. With placement hours in the sector and
supporting practical skills, this diploma strengthens your
readiness for advanced study or employment. It’s an ideal
stepping stone for learners looking to transition smoothly
into industry-standard training.
Designed to prepare learners for employment or higher
education at university. This course is focused for those
wanting to progress their knowledge and skills appropriate
for a professional career in healthcare, such as a nurse,
a paramedic or a dietician. You will study many areas of
healthcare including safeguarding, infection prevention
and control and person centred care, core science
concepts (biology, anatomy and physiology) and clinical
skills in our patient care simulation centre and science
lab. This is all put into practice by completing an industry
placement in a healthcare setting.
All learning takes place in our state-of-the-art clinical nursing suite, fully equipped home simulation suite, high-spec
science lab, and using our Anatomage table—a virtual dissection tool used in medical schools. You'll take part in
simulations, guest speaker sessions, external visits, and collaborative projects to build con昀椀dence and workplace
readiness. This is the future of healthcare and social care training.
