Building on the HNC, this programme develops advanced theoretical
understanding and applied technical competence across a broader range of
engineering disciplines. You will deepen your knowledge through units such as
advanced design and analysis, fluid and thermodynamic principles, electrical
and electronic systems, project management, manufacturing processes and
digital engineering, lean manufacturing and sustainability. Your learning is
supported by SWDT’s extensive specialist engineering facilities and modern
equipment. Teaching integrates theory, technical skill development and
industry-informed project work, preparing you for higher-level technician and
associate engineering roles.
