INTEGRATIVE COUNSELLING PRACTICE
This programme explores a broad range of theory, practice, and personal
development within the field of integrative counselling. You will engage with
key therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioural and humanistic
perspectives, alongside the philosophical foundations of integrative practice.
Ethical and professional issues, self-awareness, and skills development form a
core part of your journey, supported by opportunities to examine contemporary
issues, advancements in counselling, and the role of supervision. You will also
undertake research, deepen your reflective practice, explore the evolution of
counselling, and enhance your therapeutic skills as you progress through the
programme. You will undertake a mandatory 100-hour therapeutic placement;
a mandatory requirement of any qualifying counselling degree. (subject to revalidation)

Applicants should hold
a Level 3 Diploma in
Counselling Skills or
equivalent.
Maths and English
at Grade 4/C or
above (or Level 2
Functional Skills).
Applicants may be considered
for direct entry into Year 2
or Year 3 of the programme
if they can evidence relevant
prior university-level study
in counselling, including the
required placement hours for
the stage of entry, such as a
Certificate/Diploma of Higher
Education or Foundation
Degree in Counselling.
