skills required to become an effective and reflective sports coach across
a range of community and performance environments. You will study key
areas including coaching theory, coaching practice, coaching science,
community health and social issues, academic and professional skills,
contemporary developments in sports coaching, skill acquisition and
research methods. A central part of the programme is the Community

develop practical coaching competence. Learning blends classroom
teaching with practical coaching experience, allowing you to apply theory
in real coaching contexts. As the programme progresses, you will refine
your coaching approach, develop your analytical and communication
