BSc Sports Coaching
BSc (Hons) Top Up
Programme Overview
This programme builds on your previous foundation degree/Level
5 study to deepen your expertise in advanced coaching practice,
performance analysis and the contemporary issues shaping sport today.
You will study key areas including performance analysis, contemporary
developments in sports coaching and health, and advanced coaching
practice, while also undertaking an independent Research Project
that enables you to investigate a specialist area of interest within your
coaching pathway. Learning blends applied theory, data-informed
coaching methods and practical professional development, encouraging
you to integrate higher-level academic understanding with real-world
coaching contexts. Throughout the programme, you will refine your
coaching philosophy, strengthen your analytical and reflective skills,
and develop the confidence and professional competence required for
progression into senior coaching roles, teaching or further specialist
study.
