PRECISION & PROCESS ENGINEERING
LEVEL 2 ENGINEERING OPERATIONS (SKILLS) – PRECISION
ENGINEERING
Learners will gain hands on skills by manufacturing components using milling and turning
techniques to produce high quality components. This will be supported by learning
how to use hand tools and measuring equipment to manufacture basic components to
desired tolerances. Upon completion learners can progress to either a Level 3 course or an
apprenticeship in relevant discipline.
T LEVEL ENGINEERING, MANUFACTURING, PROCESSING AND
CONTROL
Build the skills and experience to start your engineering career. This two-year Level 3 T
Level combines practical workshop learning, technical knowledge and a minimum 315hour industry placement. You’ll develop skills in engineering and manufacturing, including
production processes, engineering drawing, materials, quality control and mechanical,
electrical and control systems. Gain real industry experience and prepare for a skilled career,
higher apprenticeship, further study or university.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
L2 Engineering Operations
(Skills)- Precision Engineering
Four GCSEs at grade 2/3 (or equivalent), including English,
maths.
T LEVEL Engineering,
Manufacturing, Processing and
Control
Minimum five GCSEs at grade 4 or above (or equivalent),
including English and Maths or a Level 2 qualification in a
relevant subject area.
